Move Out Notice Received

We are sorry to hear you are moving out, we hope you enjoyed your residency. If you have any feedback regarding your stay please let us know, we are open to all of your feedback

Move Out Inspection

A final move out inspection will be conducted after we receive your keys. The final inspection is used to determine the move out condition of your unit and assess any necessary charges.

Please remember to return all keys upon move out. If you are charged for any keys because you did not return a complete set, you will not be credited for keys that are returned at a later date. Additionally, all keys must be submitted at one time, in one envelope. Only one forwarding address should be on the envelope as well. If keys, etc. are turned in at different times, you may be charged a $50.00 processing and handling fee. Please note that we are unable to credit your account for keys, parking stickers and fitness center fobs which are returned after your move out.

We strongly encourage residents with more than one person residing in the household to make arrangements for one person to be responsible for returning all keys, stickers, etc. in the key envelope provided, with one forwarding address only. Please note that if multiple forwarding addresses are submitted, Management will select an address to return the Final Account Statement (FAS) to at their discretion.

Additionally, please note that the Final Account Statement and security deposit, if applicable, will be returned in ALL leaseholders’ names to one address.  We are not able to issue more than one check. We are also not able to issue the check in anyone’s name other than the leaseholder, even with written documentation from the leaseholders.

Lastly, please contact National Grid to make sure the electricity is taken out of your name at the end of your lease/when you are moving out. Failure to do so may result in additional charges by National Grid.

If you have any questions regarding the move out process and your responsibilities as a resident, please feel free to contact the Leasing Office at 781-335-0726.

Damaged Carpets

While we make every effort to keep the existing carpet in place, we are unable to do so if the carpet is damaged and will be unacceptable to a new resident moving in. The “life” expectancy of a carpet at Queen Anne’s Gate is seven (7) years. Therefore, residents are held responsible for any remaining “life” of a carpet if there is damage which warrants carpet replacement.

Return all keys, stickers, etc.

Return all of the above items at the same time, otherwise a $50 processing fee may be charged if returned separately.

Large Items

Please note that disposing of large items in our dumpsters is strictly prohibited. Additionally, it's essential to remember that disposing of mattresses in dumpsters is illegal in Massachusetts and may result in fines.

Please refer to our recycling resource page for information on how to dispose of these items.

National Grid

Make sure the electricity is taken out of your name at the end of your lease.

Cleaning Charges

In order to ensure that you do not incur additional cleaning charges or trash removal charges upon move out, your unit must be returned to its original “move-in” condition. Absolutely no items may be left in the hallway, lobby, grounds, etc. as it poses a fire hazard and detracts from the overall appearance of the property.

  • Furniture Removal/Personal Belongings Removal: $200/hour minimum

  • Additional Apartment Cleaning Charges Required: $400 minimum

  • Kitchen Floor Cleaning/Replace: $300

  • Appliance Cleaning Required: $200

Final Account Statement & Security Deposit

Security deposit, if applicable, will be returned in all leaseholders’ names to one address.  We are not able to issue more than one check. We are also not able to issue the check in anyone’s name other than the leaseholder, even with written documentation from the leaseholders.

Your Security Deposit check will be returned to you within 30 day of moving out of Queen Anne’s Gate Apartments minus any potential damages.
